World Learning has an immediate opening for a* Democracy & Governance/Civil Society Specialist *for the World Learning (USAID funded) Religious and Social Pluralism, Equity and Tolerance (RESPECT) program. This is a three-year program currently beginning its second year in Indonesia. This is a contract position. *This position is for Indonesia nationals. Women are strongly encouraged to apply.* Fluency in written and spoken English is a plus. Excellent communication skills needed.
The successful candidate will provide technical and programmatic assistance to the RESPECT program. RESPECT works though local partners to promote pluralism, tolerance, and the rights of women and minority groups. The target area is Banten, West Java and Central Java. Program partners include civil society organizations, government institutions, and mass media organizations.
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: - Oversee program implementation by partner organizations for relevant components of the program. - Assist in providing, coordinating or arranging all technical assistance and administrative support activities under the program. - Coordinate relationships with civil society organizations and government institutions on technical matters. - Provide capacity building to partner organizations in programmatic, management, administrative and financial areas - Documentation and report writing
QUALIFICATIONS: - A minimum of 7 years of experience in democracy and governance fields including decentralization, policy reform, human rights protection, advocacy, policy/legislative change, civic education, capacity building of civil society organizations, media and/or gender strategies. - Excellent oral and written communication skills in Indonesian and English.
- Strong program management experience including M&E and project cycle management. - Familiarity in working with USAID would be an asset. - Demonstrated track record in working as part of a team. - Master’s Degree or equivalent in international development, political or social science or related field preferred. - Cultural and social knowledge and sensitivity. - Extensive work in gender related issues.
The candidate should have in-depth knowledge of and a proven track record in working successfully on some of the above mentioned priorities.

kok psikologi nyari exchangenya ke jepang sieh?? lagian setau aku sih, universitas jepang biasanya lebih percaya ke universitas yang udah jadi parternya kalo mau student exchange, alias ga bisa kalo secara individu apply kesana. kecuali kalo kamu ada kenalan profesor atau dosen disana, bisa tuh minta rekomendasi dia, nanti dia rekomendasi lagi ke ugm.. universitas yang biasa buka student exchange tuh ibaraki, utsunomiya, tokyo university, dll.. kalo emang suka jepang, rajin2 aja cari infonya di Japan Fondation, disana lengkap info tentang schoolarship.. semangat!!
